West Ardsley Village

The post box to the north pole is now up at the little free library on Haigh Moor Road.

Please do pop your Christmas wish lists in to the box and if the local children have been good and are lucky they might even get a reply back, so make sure you but your address in for a reply!

 

You may have seen some rubber duckies hanging around the village!

Diane from the Little library has organised this just to bring a smile to peoples faces, so if you see a duck please leave it where it is so everyone can enjoy them

And please help us find the Boris Duck who has gone walkies!

the Monday companions are welcoming new members

 

The big local uniform swap is happening this Saturday 5th August at Tingley Athletic FC club house (Casson Ave)

starting at 9.30am till about noon

everyone is welcome this is a chance to save uniform from Landfill and and save some money- we all know uniform is not cheap!

schools covered are Hilltop, Westerton, Black Gates, East Ardsley and Woodkirk

Coffee Morning 24th June 2023, at West Ardsley Methodist Church, run by the Sunday School Children in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice

Cakes- plants- games and a quiz- suitable for all age groups

After a long absence due to Covid- Hilltop Primary Academy are happy to announce the return of their Summer fair!

come and support the local school on Friday 26th May starting at 3pm and ending at 5.30pm

the fair will include the brilliant colour run too

the local elections take place tomorrow 4th May

Monday movers has now re started as the nights are staying lighter for longer

If you fancy a walk and a chat please meet up at the reservoir waterfall at 7pm on a Monday evening, you can go at your own pace and do one or two laps, you will be warmly welcomed.

after a long time off due to the covid lockdown and the shocking carry on over Haigh Woods development, the WAAG team are getting back together and vow to continue fighting for the community – but they need YOU to get on board

Tuesday 25th April 2023 at 7pm at the Hilltop Community Centre

 

The Community cafe is running each Wednesday with the start time of 11am and stops serving at 1.30pm- there is a choice of hot and cold food with drinks for a reasonable price.
