Father Christmas Tractor tour of the Village

Santa and his tractor are back on 15th December 2023

Santa is doing a tour of West Ardsley again this year following the route starting at Hill Top School Car Park, Haigh Moor Road, making a stop at the reservoir, Westerton Road, Baghill Road and Batley Road covering most of the side streets along the way.
Unfortunately this year Santa can only do this route as any further takes a bit too long and some children miss out on seeing him
5.15pm start
Please not there is an event on at Hill Top School finishing at 5.30 so the car park will be pretty busy
Please try and come early to avoid causing hassle in the car park and we will probably not leave Hill Top until around 5.45 approx or just after so could be around 6pm to 6.15 before we get to Res Car Park. I will update on here on way round

This is a community event for the people of the West Ardsley so no donations will be taken on the night but please feel free to donate to these 2 wonderful Charities

Children’s Heart Surgery Fund

With a big thanks to James Butterfield
L&W Butterfield – tree work and farm contractors for giving up his time each year to do this and my nagging ????

Also Thank You to all the local people and businesses that have donated sweets already who without these kind donations Santa would have nothing to give out to all the children
There is still time to donate some

Community tree switch on

A huge thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the community tree being switched on.

thank you to Tingley Brass Band for playing and making us feel all Christmasy with the lovely carols.

Thanks to Mike and Graham for taking the photos on the night

Thanks to the members of WAAG who organised it and to those who donated Mince pies, we hope the children enjoyed the chocolate and glow sticks!

We hope it has given you a good start to the festive season.

rubber ducks

You may have seen some rubber duckies hanging around the village!

Diane from the Little library has organised this just to bring a smile to peoples faces, so if you see a duck please leave it where it is so everyone can enjoy them

And please help us find the Boris Duck who has gone walkies!
